Sunday - Arrival Update

We are on the ferry and on schedule to arrive at school for 11am.

Friday

Day 2 on the Ardeche River.

A day filled with going down ‘Backwards’ standing up and going down ‘Standing Up’ backwards- some intentionally and some not so!  Today was the section of the descent with the most rapids and Rapid Le Mas which is the longest rapid on the whole river. There were a few tired faces on the river today which is not surprising considering we have covered 16kms so far in the canoes.

This evening we had a bit of splash time in the swimming pool before a pleasant evening visit to Vallon and some crepes, ice creams and shopping.

Thursday

Day 1 on the mighty Ardeche River. After a well needed lie-in pupils were given a river tour that consisted of them and the river team getting very wet. This morning they mastered the basic skills on how to steer the boat, and the afternoon consisted of a 5km decent down the Ardeche over 6 rapids.

Tomorrow is day 2 on the river, pupils travelling 13km.

Wednesday

Aqualand!

Today we left Mimosa, and were bound for the thrills of Aqualand. Everyone had a fantastic time on the adrenalin pumping rapids and flumes.

After a fun packed day we drove to our second site, Domaine de Segries, through some beautiful countryside. After our evening meal and entertainment we are bubbling with enthusiasm in readiness for the river tomorrow.

Tuesday

Another fantastic day on the med. Pico sailing, windsurfing, socs and catamarans. Pupils had an opportunity to visit a local fishing village tonight and sample a little French culture. Tomorrow we transfer to Segries after a day at the water park.

Monday

Woke up this morning to bright blue skys and the promise of a hot sunny day. Bus A were Windsufing and Raft Building. Bus B spent the morning snorkelling at Black Sands.  All children participated fully and had a fantastic time, fully embracing all the activities.

This afternoon Bus A went Snorkelling while Bus B were sailing. Tomorrow we are looking forward to more sailing and visit toCap D’Agde, a local fishing port.

Sunday

A bit wet, the students are still loving the time on the beach. Much better forecast for tomorrow.

Sunday

We have all arrived safe and well.  Just had breakfast and now getting ready for the beach!
