Rock Academy

The Westgate School successfully bid for £5,000 support from the Extended Schools agenda established by the DCFS. As a result of gaining the funds we recently bought two complete sets of band equipment and have set up a Rock Academy which takes place after school.

Pupils are taught by a specialist peripatetic teacher who has good experience in working with young people and developing bands. The new acts are showcased at school performances at the end of each term.
