Resources Collection

The LRC houses a resources collection of almost 10,000 items. This includes books, journals, newspapers and DVDs. Pupils and staff are able to search these items using the online library catalogue 'Searchstar' ( the Searchstar link is availble on the 'Learning Communities' tab on the School website). There is a self-guided tutorial available from the LRC Issue Desk, or please ask the Librarian for help.

Pupils are able to borrow 3 items for a 2 week loan period. DVDs have a shorter loan period of 3 days. All loans can be renewed as required. Items borrowed or renewed during the week before a school holiday will be on loan for the duration of the holiday, due for return when the new term begins. Due dates are stamped or written on the label at the front of the book or DVD. It is advised that pupils also make a note of the due date in their planners.
