Table Tennis

Andy Hider, our Pupil Support Worker,runs the table tennis clubs on Thursday and Friday lunchtime and Wednesday after school. The club is for anyone. A chance to improve your table tennis skills, be involved in competitions and make new friends.

Thursday Lunchtime - Year 7 - 8 (from 1pm - 1.30pm) and year 9,10 and 11 (from 1.30pm - 2pm)

Friday Lunchtime - Year 7 - 8 (from 1pm - 1.30pm) and year 9,10 and 11 (from 1.30pm - 2pm)

Wednesday after school 3.05pm-4.30pm ALL YEARS

On 1st February Ben, Jonnie and Tom went to Testwood School to challenge for a place in the National finals for Table Tennis. Ben and Tom were playing in the Under 16 category (even though they were both much younger than other pupils) and Jonnie was playing in the Under 13 category.

Jonnie was placed in a really tough group, with his first match being against the eventual winner! Tom did really well in the first round but unfortunately crashed out in the second round and came 5th in the County overall. Ben however, who is still only Year 9, made it through to the semi finals and ended up being ranked 3rd in the County - an amazing achievement considering his age. Well done to all the lads on a fabulous performance.

Table Tennis club is on Thursday and Friday lunchtimes and after school on a Wednesday - come and challenge our winners!
