Our Year 10 pupils had an unforgettable experience in London for the GCSE Science Live '24 last week. The event was a fantastic opportunity to hear from some of the most brilliant minds in science, including the renowned Professor Robert Winston and Professor Jim Al-Khalili. These eminent scientists captivated our pupils with insights on how science can tackle some of the world's most pressing issues.
Pupils delved into the complexities of human reproduction, if we may ever meet aliens and the tantalizing possibility of time travel. Professor Sophie Scott, a stand-up comedian as well as a neuroscientist, had everyone laughing as she explained the science behind why we laugh; making the session both educational and entertaining.
To top it all off, our pupils received exam tips from the chief examiner for science, which will support them to excel in their GCSEs. It was an inspiring, fun day, leaving our pupils motivated and excited about the future of science! Thank you to the Science Faculty for organising such an enjoyable trip.
