House Reading Challenge: 7F2 Crowned Champions!

Each September, The Westgate School launches an exciting reading challenge for our new Year 7 students: the first tutor group to read 100 books wins a prize and a certificate. This initiative encourages a love of reading and teamwork among our learners, as well as some healthy competition between the Houses!

Students can choose any “proper” books they enjoy, but each group must include six recommended titles from the School Library. Every member of the tutor group contributes by reading at least one book and recording their name and book title on the group’s reading chart.

This year’s competition was fierce, but the winners, announced during Year 7 assembly, were Tutor Group 7F2! Well done Fire House!
