Thinking about college?

For Year 11 pupils, it’s an important time of year with GCSE mock exams just around the corner and college application deadlines looming.  

On Wednesday 12 November, Year 11s will have an assembly about writing college applications. Then on Thursday 13 November, Peter Symonds College will give a presentation about their application process ahead of their application deadline on 8 December. 

For all the other local colleges, including Sparsholt, Basingstoke College of Technology, Barton Peveril, Eastleigh College, Richard Taunton Sixth Form College and CEMAST, pupils should aim to have their applications in by the end of the year.  

Many colleges are running open days over the coming weeks, and we’d recommend exploring your options by attending these events. Have a look at their websites or visit the Learning Resources Centre where there is a display providing further information. And don’t forget to look at Unifrog, to help navigate the decision-making process.
