Debate Competition

Yesterday, three Westgate Year 10 pupils entered the Frankly Speaking Debate Competition in London. Benjamin Franklin House holds the annual Frankly Speaking Debate Competition for Upper school pupils, in collaboration with the US Embassy London. The winner joins children from across Europe and the United States at the Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute.

The Westgate Team of Grace D, Araysh S and Charlotte B-P came 1st in the Junior category and Grace won the individual award, so will be going back to Parliament for a tour with the Speaker and attending a parliamentary debate.
